We told you about Former Tiger Reid Wesley scoring the first goal of Bellarmine’s lacrosse season and now another Former Tiger has done the same thing for Tranyslvania.

A Class of 2013 graduate and 2-time state champion as a member of the Tiger Lacrosse program, Cooper Sohm scored the first goal of the Transylvania Pioneers’ 2014 season on Saturday against Piedmont College. Sohm’s goal capitalized on a violation by Piedmont on the game’s first face-off at the 14:07 mark of the first quarter.

Later in the game, another Former Tiger, Zack Riggs, also scored for the Pioneers! Transylvania lost 12-13 and will return home to Lexington for their home opener at the newly constructed Transylvania University Athletics Complex to face Wittenberg University, Saturday, March 1.
