The St. Xavier Tigers defeated Nelson County last night 7-0. This improves the Tiger Baseball team’s record to 22-9 on the season after that impressive win on Senior Night.
It was only fitting that a Senior, Hayden Ford, drove in the first run of the game with an RBI single which scored Sam Springer in the bottom of the 1st. Another one of the nine Senior Tigers, Miles Lee hit a SAC fly allowing the Tigers to take a 2-0 lead early in the ball game.
It was all St. X last night as they stretched the lead out to seven runs which was good enough for the win and a little bit of momentum as the Tigers only have one more regular season game with districts right around the corner.

Tuesday, May 13th
Varsity Game – 6:00 PM
St. Xavier hosts the Cardinals of Nelson County in the final home game of the 2014 regular season. The nine senior members of the Tiger Baseball team look to end their career at Mueller Field on a high note with a win tonight. The class has amassed an impressive 85-26 record at the Varsity level over the past three seasons including five wins over Trinity during that span. They have made two trips to the State Tournament thus far and are on the path to another appearance in Lexington this season. Thank you Austin, Hayden, Miles, Andrew, Josh, Tristan, Robby, Sam and Connor for your contributions to the Tiger Baseball program over the last four years!
