Saint Xavier Tigers (8-3) vs. DuPont Manual Crimsons (9-2)
Friday, November 11th
Br. Thomas More Stadium
Both the Tigers and the Crimsons have a feel for each other as they rematch in the second round of the playoffs tonight. The game plan for each team is likely not to shift much, but the game will simply come down to who executes more efficiently.
For the Tiger Defense, stopping runningback Andre Teague will be the focal point of the night. Teague has been on a tear since the last meeting with the Tigers, highlighted by a five touchdown performance in a win over PRP. While Teague is the workhorse, the Defense will also need to contain wide receiver Jaelin Carter and not allow him to get over the top.
The Tiger Offense will continue to be a run-first team against the Crimsons. The Crimsons are led by a strong front seven, but I believe that the Tigers O-Line is simply too good to let them impact the run game. Expect another big game from Sam Taylor and Desmond Ridder.
