The Tiger Track and Field team won Region 3 AAA over the weekend and many Tigers punched their tickets to the State Meet on May 23rd. For some Tigers, they will be watching the other Track meets to see where they stand. We will update this post throughout the week to show you who is in and who is out.
Anyone who finishes 1st or 2nd in the Region. There are 7 Regions in each class, these athletes take up 14 of the 24 spots.
10 Extra Qualifiers
After all 7 of the regions are done. The times/marks for all athletes in 3rd place and beyond are ranked by their regional performance. The Top 10 athletes in each event make it to state to fill out the 24 qualifiers. All 10 spots can go to one region, it is based strictly off the time/mark from the regional.

IN THE STATE MEET
Athletes who have been officially qualified for the 2015 Kentucky Track and Field State Meet
William Mulloy, 800 meter run, Sr.
Mulloy qualified for State by winning the Region 3 AAA with a time of 1:56.44. He defeated Darius Payne of duPont Manual by over a second. Mulloy finished 2nd in the 800 last year at State. After 3 regions, Mulloy is currently the number 3 overall seed for the 800.
Jaylon Hibbs, 110 and 300 meter hurdles, Sr.
Hibbs won both the 110 and 300 meter hurdles this past weekend. After 3 regions, Hibbs sits as the number 3 overall seed in the 110 meter hurdles and the number 7 overall seed in the 300 meter hurdles.
