Tiger Baseball No. 3 in latest KHSBCA Poll

Tiger Baseball moved into the No. 3 spot in the Kentucky High School Baseball Coaches Association poll.  The Tigers have dropped three out of their last four games, but are looking to bounce back tonight in efforts to gear up for the post season which begins next week.  St. Xavier is also No. 3 in the Kentucky Prep Baseball Report Rankings.

Tiger Baseball moved up into the No. 2 spot in the Kentucky High School Baseball Coaches Association poll.  The Tigers are currently on a six game winning streak and are on the cusp of winning their 20th game of the season.  St. Xavier is also No. 2 in the Kentucky Prep Baseball Report Rankings.  The Tigers will take on the No. 2 team in Indiana tonight, the Floyd Central Highlanders, after the game was postponed last night due to inclement weather.

Tiger Baseball drops to No. 5 after being mistakenly left out

In the latest Kentucky High School Baseball Coaches Association’s Top 25, St. Xavier baseball was originally left out in the first release by the Courier-Journal, but according to Jason Frakes, the omission of the Tigers was a “screw up”. Their new ranking checks the team in at No. 5 which is the highest of any Louisville-area team.

With two losses coming in one week, one to No. 8 Male and the other to DeSales, they fell a little bit, but a 6-2 victory over Regional Rival Trinity keeps the Tigers in the Top 25.

A big week is ahead of the Tigers as they take on No. 9 Ballard on Tuesday at 7:30 PM and defending state champion No. 7 Pleasure Ridge Park Saturday at 11:00 AM. 17 games remain in the regular season for St. Xavier.

Tiger Baseball comes in at No. 2 in the Kentucky High School Baseball Coaches Association’s Top 25 that was released today.  The team took their first loss of the season earlier this week against Oldham County 7-9 and take on Christian Academy of Louisville tonight.
