The Tiger Golf team has concluded tryouts and are back out on the course and off to a great start.
Billy Basham came out strong and helped lead the team to a win at the Five-Star General Lafayette Invitational yesterday. Basham finished in second place and the team as a whole played very well, winning by 8 strokes. They described the match as “fun” and “low-key” especially beating Trinity without their best golfer Mike Sass while he is away at the Junior PGA Championship.
The team finished with a score of 293 with help from all the grade levels.
Arguably the best freshman in the state, Jay Kirchodorfer, shot an amazing 75 in his first Varsity match as a Tiger.
The Tigers are back at it next Monday and hope to keep the winning going.
