Tiger Soccer won their fourth straight game Wednesday night, as they defeated Male 4-1 on the road. Seniors Eric Brangers and Brett Hulsmeyer along with junior Trent Ennenbach and sophomore Lucas Mudd all scored goals against the Bulldogs.
“I thought we played really well for the first 15 minutes,” Hulsmeyer said. “We kind of fell off after that, but we managed to pull it together at the end of the game.”
Brangers struck early in the game, as he got the ball behind the goalie in the 5th minute. In the 10th minute, Ennenbach scored a header off a pass from senior Brandon Naber.
Male trimmed the Tiger’s lead to 2-1 in the 21st minute off a corner kick. The score remained the same going into halftime.
The score stayed at 2-1 until Hulsmeyer scored a goal off a corner kick in the 62nd minute. One minute later, Mudd added to the Tigers lead in the 63rd minute.
“The ball just fell right to me,” Hulsmeyer said. “It was a good play by our team.”
Tiger Soccer improves to 5-1 on the season.
