Game Notes
In the second game of Spirit Week, Tiger Soccer goes on the road to take on Trinity. This is a big game for both teams, as St. X has not lost in-state, and Trinity has only lost one game. As the Tigers take the field at Trinity tonight, lets look at what they will be facing.
The Shamrocks have a very effective offense that does not waste chances when they get them. Look for the Tiger defense to be locked in Trinity’s two leading scorers: Brandon McManus and Jack Fischer. However, on the other side of the ball, the defense is not as strong. This is a defense the Tiger scorers should be able to take advantage of.
Now, lets take a look at the Tigers. St. X has been phenomenal in-state this year, winning every game they have played. This is a team that starts 7 seniors and had their whole back line return from last year. Bennett Moorman and Connor George have been  unstoppable this year. Each time one of them touches the ball, they are a threat to score. On the other side of the ball, Zach Bannon and Michael Hagerty will lead the defense against a very effective Trinity offense.
This game is on the road, which will make it a little bit tougher for the Tigers to pull out a victory. However, St. X has the talent on both sides of the field, whereas Trinity is lacking on defense. Look for the Tigers to pull away in this one and make St. X 2-0 against Trinity this week.
