Varsity Game — 1:00 PM
Saint Xavier High School
Louisville, KY

The Tiger Lacrosse team looks to build on what was an impressive 14-4 win on Friday against Father Ryan. Patrick Anderson scored 4 goals and will look to continue his hot start.

Saturday, the Montgomery Bell Big Red come to town to play the Tigers. This will be the Tigers second game in the same amount of days to start out the season. Montgomery Bell finished last year with a 15-5 record and with a loss in the Tennessee state championship. This is a very scary team that will provide the Tigers with some major challenges. The Tigers were scheduled to play the Big Red last year, however, the game was cancelled due to bad weather.

It is worth noting that Montgomery Bell defeated Trinity on their home turf Friday night 11-8.

This should be a very competitive game the whole way. The Tigers didn’t get to play the Big Red last year, so it should be interesting to see how they play against an unfamiliar foe. After only giving up 4 goals on Friday the Tigers hope their defense is up for the test against a very good offense. Also keep in mind this is the Tigers second game in two days to open up the season; fatigue shouldn’t be a problem but it is something to keep an eye on.

It will be a competitive game, but in the end I think the Tigers come away with the W on their home turf. Look for Hudson Hill to have a big game in the goal Saturday afternoon.

11-10 St. X.

Go Tigers!
