Catching up with Manual Football

Tiger Football vs Manual

Hello Tiger Nation! The Tiger Football team will move on to the second round of the playoffs after rolling past Muhlenberg County last Friday. This Friday, the Tigers will face DuPont Manual for the second time this season, but with state title hopes on the line. Last time we played the Crimsons, the Tigers won comfortably 28-12. The Crimsons have played four games since our last meeting. So, Manual, what have you been up to?

Record: 3-1 (9-2 overall)

PLEASURE RIDGE PARK (home) – WIN – The Crimsons rebounded a week after the loss to the Tigers by defeating PRP 34-21. Andre Teague finished with five rushing touchdowns on the night.

MALE (away) – LOSS – The Crimsons lost to Male in the Old Rivalry 27-14. The score is a little deceiving. Manual had a chance to tie it up on a last-ditch effort drive in the fourth quarter, but Male picked off a pass for a 95 yard touchdown.

EASTERN (home) – WIN – Manual defeated Eastern 34-13.

HENDERSON COUNTY (away) – WIN – The Crimsons defeated Henderson County in the first round of the playoffs 53-18.

Yes, the Tigers won the last matchup against Manual, but they cannot be taken lightly. Manual is a good football team, and has shown that they can compete. The winner of this game will face the winner of the Male/PRP game in the quarterfinals. It’s win or go home, so expect both teams to come out swinging.
