The Tiger Soccer team will begin their road in the regional tournament tomorrow as they face the Manual Crimsons at Manual. Kickoff is at 7:30. The last time these teams faced off, the Crimsons upset St.X 1-0.

Senior midfielder Trent Ennenbach said that even with the loss to the #6 ranked Crimsons, the game plan remains the same.

“Not too many changes are being made. We know the system and we just didn’t execute well last game. Manual has several key players, so it’s important we are aware of them and stop them from having an impact on the game. We need to come out with a lot of intensity and just play our game.”

Ennenbach and the team are coming in to the tournament with a loss in the district championship to Collegiate 2-0.

“We just need to put it behind us and move forward,” Ennenbach said. “We had two good days of practice and we are ready for Manual tomorrow.”

Without a doubt, the Tigers have a difficult road ahead of them to make it to the state tournament for the first time since 2012, which is also the last time they won the state championship. The team will be determined and hungry coming off a loss and they are hoping to get back into a rhythm headed into the postseason.

And after four years of not making it to state, it may just be time for the Tigers to make another run.
