Hello, Tiger Nation! The Tiger Football team will face off against Male this Friday in the most important game of the season. Postseason implications are on the line Friday, as the winner will have the home field advantage for the first three games in the playoffs. Let’s take a look at what the Tigers are up against.

Mascot: Bulldogs

Colors: Purple and Gold

Location: 4409 Preston Hwy, Louisville, KY 40213

Head Coach: Chris Wolfe

Players to Watch: T.J. Thomas (QB), Robert Sheffield (FS), Ethan Bibb (WR), Stephon Mayes (OLB), Nathan Hobbs (DB), Davyeon Higgs (RB), Andrew Arnold (OL), Rasean McCauley (TE/DE)

Record: 6-1; only loss is against Trinity 37-34.

Overview:

Since Male’s loss to Trinity, they have gone on an absolute tear against their next three opponents. The Bulldogs have won against Seneca, Butler, and PRP. In that time period, they have scored an average of 50 points, while only allowing 7.3 points per game.

The Tigers tested the undefeated 6A Champions last year, but ultimately lost 27-24. The Tigers will be looking for some revenge come Friday night, especially in front of Male’s home crowd. After a convincing win against Manual last week, they will have some confidence coming into this game that will ultimately play in their favor.
