Scouting Report | DuPont Manual
DuPont Manual will travel a few minutes down the road to Brother Thomas More Stadium to face the Tigers on Friday Night. After a loss to Trinity last week, look for the Tigers to be extremely aggressive and focused, especially since it is Senior Night as well. The Crimsons have not defeated St.X since 1993.
Colors: Red and White
Location: 120 W Lee St, Louisville, KY 40208
Head Coach: Scott Carmony
Players to Watch: Sean Cleasant Jr. (DL), Bryce Cosby (DB), Jaelin Carter (WR), Andre Teague (RB), Matt Motley (WR), Keenan Bileyu (DE)
Record: 6-0: last game they defeated Butler 28-0
Manual has remained undefeated through their easier half of the schedule, and their first first true test in the District will be against an angry Tiger Football team. They have defeated the likes of Central, Fern Creek, Seneca, Ballard, Western, and Butler.
The Manual Offense is pretty simple: run the ball down the opponents throats, and once they stack the box, pass it out to their best receiver in Jaelin Carter. Last week in their win against Manual, they had a total of 55 plays, and had only 5 passing plays. Senior Andre Teague has been their main runningback. Stopping the Manual Offense will be stopping their gritty run game.
The Manual Defense has been pretty solid over 6 games, allowing no more than 20 points in all contests (including three shutouts). The stars of the defense are their pair of college commits in Sean Cleasant (EKU) and Bryce Cosby (Ball State). The Tiger Offense will really need to open up the passing game this week as Manual’s defensive backfield provides some opportunities through the air.
