Scouting Report: Pleasure Ridge Park

Image result for pleasure ridge park football

Hello, Tiger Nation! Friday, your St. Xavier Tigers will square off against Pleasure Ridge Park at Br. Thomas More Stadium after defeating Highlands. The Panthers have been extremely competitive the past few years, and gave Trinity quite a test last week. This has earned them a Top 10 ranking in the 6A rankings. Let’s get to know the Panthers a little bit more.

Mascot: Panthers

Colors: Red and Black

Location: 901 Greenwood Rd, Louisville, KY 40258

Head Coach: Jason Hiser

Players to Watch: BJ Robinson (QB), Dayon Pulliam (OLB), DeWayne Hall (RB), Kris Adams (FB), David Kinnison (OLB)

Record: 4-1; wins over Valley, Meade County, Doss, and John Hardin.

Overview:

Last week, the Panthers were able to give Trinity a run for their money, something many people did not expect them to do. At the half, both teams were tied at 10-10, but Trinity shut them out the second half, finishing the game with a 29-10 score.

The Tiger Football team knows this is going to be a tough game, just last year the Tigers struggled against PRP. It is notable to point out that PRP is undefeated on the road this year. On the road, they have put up an average of 42 points. At the same time, their defense has limited opponents to a single touchdown per game while they are on the road.

This game is important for the Tigers for a couple of reasons. First, PRP is a lot better than they were last year, so this will certainly be St.X’s first true test against a 6A school this year. Second, this is St.X’s first district game of the year, so if we want any chance of getting the #1 seed, this is where it starts.
