Coming off a tough loss to Bowling Green, Tiger Football has a lot to prove in their season opener. Last year, the Tigers lost their first ever matchup to Central. Both of these reasons provide a huge incentive for the Tigers to get the ball rolling this season.

Game Notes

This game is going to be a huge marker for the Tigers this year. With the return of Quarterback Desmond Ridder and top wideout Blake Roshkowski, the Tigers are going to get a ton of their offensive firepower back. The workload has largely been put on the shoulders of Sam Taylor, and the return of both of these guys is going to help ease that. Ridder in particular is going to be looking to make up for lost time after missing the last two games. He’s going to have a lot to prove to this game, but I believe he’s up to the task.

The Tiger Defense is coming off of a tough matchup from the Bowling Green Offense, which they proved they were up to the task. Take out the big plays, and the Defense limited possibly the best runningback in Kentucky to less than 20 yards rushing. If the run defense can play this stoutly against Central, coupled with another big performance by linebacker Braidon Washburn, the Tigers will be hard to beat.
