Good afternoon, Tiger Nation!  This will be the first week that all of the Fall Sports teams will be competing. However, we are going to focus on Tiger Football’s opening game against Lexington Catholic. While many teams began their seasons last week, the Tigers had a bye week. We can’t wait to see the our favorite team in action. So without further a due, “Who Are These Guys?”

Mascot: Knights

Notable People Associated with Lexington Catholic: 

Alison Lundergan Grimes: Grimes is in her second term as the 76th Secretary of State of Kentucky. She was the Democratic Candidate for the United States Senate in 2014, but was defeated by Republican incumbent Mitch McConnell.

Brian Cashman: Cashman first became apart of the Yankees organization in 1986. Cashman has served as the Senior Vice President and General Manager for the New York Yankees since 1998. During his tenure as Assistant GM and VP/General Manager, the Yankees have won seven American League pennants and five World Series championships.

Ben Revere: Revere was selected in the first round of the 2007 MLB Draft by the Minnesota Twins. After playing in the minors for three years, he made his big-league debut in 2010. Revere played with Twins until 2012, but was traded to the Phillies at the end of the year. Since then, he has played for the Toronto Blue Jays and presently the Washington Nationals.
