The Tiger Soccer team kicks off their season tonight at 7 P.M. against Central Hardin at Br. Thomas More Stadium. The team looks to get some early season revenge as they fell to the Bruins in the season opener 3-0 last year.

“Winning our first game is a key component to starting off the season and showing we are the team to beat,” Senior Goalkeeper Clayton Allen said. “We are really looking to come out strong and set the bar for other teams in our area.”

Last season the Tigers saw their season end in a loss to rival Trinity in the Region 7 Championship. Though it will be tough, the Tigers will look to return the State Tournament, something they haven’t done since winning the State Championship in 2012. The team will be in good hands, however, being led by seniors Clayton Allen, Trent Ennenbach, and Nick Scharfenberger. Also, a duo of returning juniors in Bennett Moorman and Lucas Mudd will help lead the charge to another State Championship run.

“Our team chemistry is better than any other team I have been apart of. Our goal this year is to work hard and play as a team. As long as we do that we have no doubt we can take state.”

The JV team will play Central Hardin at 5:30 P.M.
