Last week, Daniel Berger was named PGA Tour Rookie of the Year Award. Why do we care? Berger beat out former Tiger Justin Thomas for the award.

Golf Digest broke down the race to decide if Thomas did get robbed.

After a stellar collegiate career at the University of Alabama, Thomas, 22, entered the season as the biggest name among the rookies and the odd-on-favorite to win the award — which is probably influencing those upset he didn’t win. Of the rookie crop, he’s still the one most feel will have the best career, but that’s not what the award is for. So be patient, JT. They’ll be plenty more hardware up for grabs in the future.
