GAME NOTES

Tiger Football hits the road to open up the 2015 season against the Henry Clay Blue Devils at Lexington Catholic in the Bluegrass Bowl. In last year’s early season showdown with a Lexington school, the Tigers beat a high powered Bryan Station team that will be very similar to this year’s opponent, Henry Clay.

Davonte Robinson will have all of the crowd’s attention as the most electric on the field for the Devils, but Logan Butler can be his equalizer for St. X. Butler returns as the Tigers leading tackler from 2014 and will help lead an inexperienced bunch on defense under defensive coordinator Bart Bruner.

Desmond Ridder was named the starting quarterback and that says a lot about the young signal callers development and hard work over the offseason. He will get to put it all on display tonight, but expect to see Senior A.J. Breit at some point as well, maybe even early. Keep an eye on wide receiver Colin O’Daniel for the Tigers to make some big plays and get the Tigers going with his senior leadership.
