He was all over the field last season and apparently all over the campaign trail for people to vote for him because he led all vote getters with over 900 votes, which was almost 5 times as much as the second place finisher J.D. Mundt.

With out a doubt, one of the best performances by a Tiger Sports team during the 2014-2015 school year was from the Tiger Football team against the Trinity Shamrocks in their annual rivalry. The biggest stage in high school sports did not fail to produce an instant classic that brought the Shillelagh back to Poplar Level Road after a long drought. With over 31% of the vote going towards the football team’s way, they were a land slide winner in one of the toughest categories filled with so many great games for the Tigers.

Shades of Tiger Strength Coach Joe Tronzo were shown back in May by Jake Glass as he won the Shot Put State Championship at the KHSAA Track and Field State Meet. Glass helped push the Tiger Track and Field team to a Top-5 finish at the meet. Not normally do the Track and Field guys get a lot of love, but Jake had one of the biggest vote totals of the summer with over 300 coming in for the big guy.

A true representative of the word breakthrough as he finished his first year in high school as a major contributor to the Tiger Wrestling team. Kraeszig looks to bring back a state title while wrestling for his dad over the next three years. The comment section was blowing up about the youngin’s character and he surely fits the bill as a Tiger Wrestling star in the making.

Tiger Pride Award
Tiger Soccer gets another win at the 2015 EXPYS with the brand new award this year, the Tiger Pride Award. This award was for the team that exemplified the most school pride in the eyes of Tiger Nation. Tiger Soccer beat out favorite Tiger Football, who ended up third, most likely because of the votes from the Klayton Grimes camp. A great honor here for Coach Andy Schulten’s team.
