The Weight Room is Finished!
The Mueller Fitness and Weight Center, originally opened in 1990, has undergone a complete renovation this summer and is now in use for fall sports teams. The 10,000-square-foot training space features all new weight and fitness equipment to accommodate all forms of athletic and wellness training, new flooring and wall covering, a modified HVAC system, and renovated restrooms.
The center has three professional staff members including certified athletic trainers, Danny McDonald and R.J. Romero, and Joe Tronzo who serves as the Director of Strength and Conditioning. They will continue to be involved with student athletes, as well as individual students, faculty and staff. Instructors’ duties include designing specific training courses for the adult and student population, including all 18 athletic teams, and coordinating rehabilitation efforts for athletic injuries.
