Mike Silliman to be inducted into the Kentucky High School Basketball Hall of Fame

Legendary Former Tiger Mike Silliman is among 16 others who will be inducted into the Kentucky High School Basketball Hall of Fame tomorrow. He is a member of the 4th class that will go into the hall during a ceremony starting at 5:30 PM at the State Theater in Elizabethtown, KY.

The late Silliman was an all-time great for Tiger Basketball who led the program to their last state championship in 1962. He was named Mr. Basketball that year and had a great career including being named to the All-State team 3 times.

Mike played in college under a young Bobby Knight at Army where his jersey was retired last year followed by a short stint in the NBA playing for the Buffalo Braves. He was also the captain of the 1968 Olympic team that captured gold during the summer olympics.
