The Courier-Journal’s Jason Frakes released his KHSAA Football Class 6-A Top 5 heading into the 2015 season on Wednesday. He ranked Tiger Football 3rd behind Male and Trinity.
Male returns Wide Receiver standout Keion Wakefield who holds offers from numerous Big 5 programs. The Bulldogs will come to Br. Thomas More Stadium on Friday, October 16 in a big district matchup in the new district of St. Xavier, Male, Manual, PRP and Butler.
Trinity is defending state champions and hold that top spot on Frakes’ rankings probably because of that, but also maybe because of University of Louisville commit Rodjay Burns who is projected to be playing both ways. The Shamrocks and Tigers will meet in their annual game on October 2 at Papa John’s Cardinal Stadium. See ya there, Bob.
Here’s Frakes’ picks followed by ours below.
Class 6-A Top 5:
1. St. X
2. St. X
3. St. X
4. St. X
5. St. X
Roll Tigers.
