GAME NOTES

Tiger Baseball meets CAL again for the second time this season in the last meeting was 17 days ago, so the Centurions are fresh in the minds of the Tigers. It was Senior Night at Mueller Field when the Tigers beat CAL 4-1 to send the Tigers off with one final regular season win on their home turf.

Former Tiger Baseball Coach John Jefferson took to Twitter yesterday to warn the Tigers to not take CAL lightly.  Coach J was a fantastic coach, but he claims that 7 years ago when CAL upset St. X in the 7th Region Tournament was the worst day of his baseball life.  The Centurions kept one of the best teams that St. X had ever put together from making it to the state tournament in 2008 and he doesn’t want to see the same thing happen again this year.

That being said, the Tigers match up well with CAL and are the favorite entering the matchup. It will take some type of special performance from the Centurions who are without their ace to take down the defending state champions.
