Senior Tiger Baseball Pitcher J.D. Mundt has committed to play baseball in college at the University of Louisville. He will be a preferred walk-on for the Cardinal Baseball team and chose the Cardinals over roster spots at Kentucky Wesleyan and Lincoln Memorial. Louisville is kind of good at that Baseball thing too. #2 in the nation isn’t too shabby.

Mundt will be going to the Cardinals a pitcher and is turning away the life of a swimmer. “Baseball has always been my first love,” said Mundt. “It has always been my dream to play college baseball. I received a few letters for swimming, but I knew that baseball is what I wanted to pursue.”

Mundt was a member of the 2014 Tiger Baseball State Championship Team that took home the title last spring for the first time since 1981.

He announced his decision via Twitter.
