Former Tiger Golfer Cooper Musselman advances to US Open Sectional Qualifying

Former Tiger Golfer Cooper Musselman advanced to the US Open sectional qualifier after a 6 under-par performance yesterday at the US Open local qualifier. He played yesterday’s round at the Maketewah Country Club in Cincinatti, OH.

The US Open Section Qualifier takes places across the country on Monday, June 8th. There are ten locations spread throughout the nation.

US Open Section Qualifier locations:

Big Canyon Country Club & Newport Beach Country Club, Newport Beach, Calif.
The Bear’s Club, Jupiter, Fla.
Hawks Ridge Golf Club, Ball Ground, Ga.
Woodmont Country Club (North Course), Rockville, Md.
Old Oaks Country Club & Century Country Club, Purchase, N.Y.
Brookside Golf & Country Club & Lakes Golf & Country Club, Columbus, Ohio
Springfield Country Club, Springfield, Ohio
Germantown Country Club & Ridgeway Country Club, Memphis, Tenn.
Northwood Club, Dallas, Texas
Tumble Creek Club, Cle Elum, Wash.

At the Section Qualifier, Musselman will play 36 holes in one day. It is meant to be a test of skill and endurance. Their will only a handful of available spots at each site. The number is determined by the quality and quantity at each location.

Musselman will most likely be playing in one of the two locations in Ohio which is either Springfield or Columbus, Ohio.
