The Tiger Baseball team faces Male Tuesday night in the 26th District Championship Game at the Carl ’45 and Rosemary Mueller Baseball Field.  Let’s take a look at what the Male Bulldogs have been up to since the Tigers beat them 2-1 on Oaks Day. “So, Male, What Have You Been Doing?”

*Bullitt East (away) – WINThe Bulldogs quickly got back in the win column 3 days later, as they won at Bullitt East 14-6.

*Collins (home)- WINCollins hung around with Male, but the Bulldogs were able to win this game 3-1.

*Greenwood – WINGreenwood was no match for the Bulldogs, as Male cruised to an easy 12-3 win.

*Pleasure Ridge Park (away) – WIN. Male improved their winning streak to four games with another easy win against PRP, as they won by a score of 8-3.

*Ballard (home) – WIN. On the front end of a 2 game home stand, the Bulldogs pulled out a 2-0 win over the Bruins.

*Meade County (home) – WIN. After a 4-2 win over Meade County, Male continued their win streak and pushed it to 6 games since St. X beat them.

*South Oldham (away) – WIN. Talk about a blow out. It was such a blow out, they had to put the Mercy rule into effect. Male defeated South Oldham 12-1 in only 5 innings of play.

*Lafayette (away) – LOSS. The Bulldogs’ 7 game winning streak came to an end this past weekend, as they fell to Lafayette 6-1.

Although Male is coming off a loss against Lafayette, the Bulldogs are on a bit of roll. They have won 7 of 8 games since losing to the Tigers on Oaks. The big question for the game is which Male team will show up. Will the team that won 7 in a row come to play or the team that lost 6-1 to Lafayette and 7-4 to Elizabethtown earlier in the year? Male will definitely be looking for revenge because of that 2-1 loss against the Tigers earlier this May. I mean, who likes to lose on Oaks? The Tigers are executing very well though and will be tough to take down.  Although both teams will advance to the region tournament, look for a solid game between the Tigers and Bulldogs on Tuesday night. Both teams will be looking to get into postseason form.
