GAME NOTES

St. Xavier vs. Trinity KCD in the state finals tonight will have a different feel to it. The players know that this game will not be a classic, but maybe that’s the toughest part of the matchup for the Tigers: the mental part.

Tiger Lacrosse is going for their 10th state title in the last 15 years. That is an impressive stat and is all thanks to the leader of the Tigers, Coach Scott Howe. He defines St. Xavier Lacrosse as the American Flag defines the United States. He has been here since the very beginning and stood atop the lacrosse world in the commonwealth of Kentucky.

No one will be picking KCD to win this one, but let’s respect our opponents as they make their first appearance in the KY Lacrosse State Championship.  Get ready to celebrate and let’s see how many goals Collin Roppel and the rest of the Tiger Attackmen can net in their last game as a Tiger. Emotions will be flowing like a Senior Night as the outcome is certain to be in favor of the home team, but a trophy is going to be handed out in the end. It’s been an incredible season and career for a lot of these guys that will be playing their last game in the green and gold. We are happy they will get to go out on top!
