After a perfect game performance against now No. 15 Central Hardin, the Tigers were in a good position to reclaim the top spot in the Kentucky High School Baseball Coaches Association’s Top 20, but a minor hiccup against Trinity prevented that. The Tigers come in at No. 3 in the latest KHSBCA poll.

Rankings won’t matter at all here in about a week as playoff baseball begins and the last one standing is all that will matter. In the mean time, it’s fun to see where we stand and give the guys a little motivation to prove they are still the top team in the state until someone knocks them off the throne of state champs.

Take a look at this week’s Top 20:

1. McCracken County
2. Lafayette
3. St. Xavier
4. Lexington Catholic
5. Madison Central
6. Elizabethtown
7. South Laurel
8. Pulaski Southwestern
9. Covington Catholic
10. Pleasure Ridge Park
11. Meade County
12. South Warren
13. North Oldham
14. Apollo
15. Central Hardin
16. Trinity
17. Lexington Christian
18. North Bullitt
19. Male
20. Highlands

Tiger Baseball’s Record vs. Top 20: 5-2
