Tiger Swimming Going For 27-In-A-Row
Our friend Jason Frakes from the Courier-Journal previewed the upcoming KHSAA State Swimming and Diving State Championship that is coming up again this weekend. It’s that time of year again to remind you that we are going for their back-to-back-to-back-to-back-to-back-to-back-to-back-to-back-to-back-to-back-to-back-to-back-to-back-to-back-to-back-to-back-to-back-to-back-to-back-to-back-to-back-to-back-to-back-to-back-to-back-to-back-to-back state championship. Tiger Swimming is again the favorite and will have all the eyes in the Natatorium on them all weekend long.
“The seniors bring you that experience and leadership, and the freshmen and other underclassmen give you that excitement,” Larkin said. “They’ve been very consistent all year long. I don’t think our freshmen swim like freshmen. They swim like upperclassmen.”
St. X will try to win its 27th consecutive state championship this weekend at U of L. The Tigers are three titles way from matching the national record of 29 straight state crowns won by Honolulu Punahou from 1958-86.
