We could’ve predicted this a long time ago, but Charles Walker is doing big things as a member of the Kentucky Wildcats football team this fall.  As just a true freshman, you can see #88 running around all over the field on special teams and occasionally on offense in one of the most explosive attacks in the SEC.

Louisville Catholic Sports’ Roy Walter caught up with the Former Tiger to talk about his time thus far in Lexington and it is a great read and we recommend you taking the time to give it a look by clicking on the link below.  We love that Wide Receivers Coach Tommy Mainord loves Charles because all of us in Tiger Nation do too!

“It’s really hard for any true freshman, scholarship or non-scholarship, to play in all of the first eight games,” Mainord said. “It says something about his ability. … He loves playing and they’re using him on every one of the special teams and we’re using him on offense periodically, so he’s making a name for himself early.”

Kentucky is looking for their sixth win this weekend against Georgia at Noon on ESPN.  Wouldn’t it be only fitting if Charles caught the game winning touchdown to send the Cats into Bowl Season for the first time in 4 years?  We can dream!
