We’ve told you how great Charles Walker has been doing during his first fall camp as a Wildcat at the University of Kentucky and now the local media in Lexington are starting to take notice.  The Lexington Herald-Leader’s Jennifer Smith spoke with Kentucky Offensive Coordinator Neal Brown today after practice about the Former Tiger.

His transition from the running back position to wide receiver is turning heads and Walker continues to make a name for himself.  As Smith tweeted out earlier, the OC for the Wildcats said today, “Charles Walker will play this season.”

“He’ll help us,” Brown said on Friday. “I think he’s physically ready. He’s a strong kid. I’m not shocked that he’s doing well. What I’m surprised (by) is, he played mostly running back in high school, and we’ve played him at slot receiver, and he’s doing a really nice job of running routes and knowing how to get open. I thought that would take a little bit longer.”
