The Louisville Catholic Sports Network announced its 2014 All-Catholic Baseball team today on their website. LCSN polled the coaches of the local Catholic teams for the best of the best among the Catholic high school baseball players in the region. The LCSN staff also added their votes to the mix.

With six players represented, our state champion Tiger Baseball team put the most number of players on the All-Catholic team, followed by Trinity (five), DeSales (four) and Holy Cross (three). The four local teams produced a combined record of 85-54 this season.

It was also noted that Tiger Baseball’s Austin Clemons, who competed in the first 10 games of the season before a torn ACL put him on the shelf for the rest of the year, would have been a leading candidate for selection to the team.  He was a first-team selection to the All-Catholic baseball team last year and is a University of Louisville signee.
