Ian Tompkins is the new Saves Record holder at WKU

Congratulations to Former Tiger Ian Tompkins who broke the saves record at Western Kentucky University this week!

Tompkins recorded the last four outs of their 6-5 win over Austin Peay, which included inning ending strikeouts in the eighth and ninth frames for his 12th save of the year. His 12 saves are tied for the sixth most in the nation in 2014 and break Matt Wilhite’s former record of 11 during the 2003 season.
