In the latest Kentucky High School Baseball Coaches Association’s Top 25, St. Xavier baseball was originally left out in the first release by the Courier-Journal, but according to Jason Frakes, the omission of the Tigers was a “screw up”. Their new ranking checks the team in at No. 5 which is the highest of any Louisville-area team.

With two losses coming in one week, one to No. 8 Male and the other to DeSales, they fell a little bit, but a 6-2 victory over Regional Rival Trinity keeps the Tigers in the Top 25.

A big week is ahead of the Tigers as they take on No. 9 Ballard on Tuesday at 7:30 PM and defending state champion No. 7 Pleasure Ridge Park Saturday at 11:00 AM. 17 games remain in the regular season for St. Xavier.
