The Alabama tennis team came back from its loss yesterday to blank Princeton with a 4-0 victory on Saturday at the Blue Gray National Tennis Classic. With the win, the Crimson Tide improves to 5-5 on the season, while the loss drops the Tigers to 6-3 overall.
Alabama gained the momentum early after winning a close doubles point against Princeton. On court two, sophomore Becker O’Shaughnessey and Former Tiger standout Sean Donohue were first to finish, beating the Princeton seniors Augie Bloom and Dan Davies, 6-4.
All four of the remaining matches saw Alabama players one game away from ending the match, but it would be Donohue providing the clincher with a 6-4, 6-4 victory over freshman Joshua Yablon on court four.
Alabama will play its final match at the Blue Gray on Sunday and will take on the winner of the match between Auburn and Mississippi State in the consolation finals.
